The Fema List
This is a post that I created a month or two ago. I waited to post it till we had more evidence about these lists. Ever since the New York Times article and the ABC.com articles, I have been very careful about the articles I choose to post. At this point we are still crossing over, bridging that gap so to speak, so it's really important that good, verifiable information gets out there. So there is lot's that I want to blog about, but am temporarily hesitant to post.
Well recently an article came out and they are admitting to the FEMA camps. The conspiracy sites have been talking about these camps for years, people going and taking video and posting it on Youtube.com only to still be called nuts, conspiracy theorists, etc. Well now they admit it, so there you go.
(d) Preference for Designation of Closed Military Installations- Wherever possible, the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, shall designate a closed military installation as a site for a national emergency center. If the Secretaries of Homeland Security and Defense jointly determine that there is not a sufficient number of closed military installations that meet the requirements of subsections (b) and (c), the Secretaries shall jointly designate portions of existing military installations other than closed military installations as national emergency centers.
(e) Transfer of Control of Closed Military Installations- If a closed military installation is designated as a national emergency center, not later than 180 days after the date of designation, the Secretary of Defense shall transfer to the Secretary of Homeland Security administrative jurisdiction over such closed military installation.
(f) Cooperative Agreement for Joint Use of Existing Military Installations- If an existing military installation other than a closed military installation is designated as a national emergency center, not later than 180 days after the date of designation, the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Secretary of Defense shall enter into a cooperative agreement to provide for the establishment of the national emergency center.
Most of what these sites are talking about, eventually do come to past. Eg. They have been talking about the planned financial collapse for years, and many thought it would happen last year, but this year seems to be the most likely. Also we have been discussing the Amero, the planned currency that will take over should the American, Canadian, Mexican economies choose to become the North American Union. Well as you can imagine a force and planned depression would accomplish this. It would also cause instability, make people angry enough to riot, if they do, the FEMA camps are waiting, and there are lists of people who in a national emergency are to be rounded up.
These ADEX lists have been around since the time of the Black Panthers and others. Many of the Panthers were on this list, Malcolm X, many others, and these lists exist now. The theory is that many of the outspoken are on the lists, journalists, just the usual suspects, and people have said political bloggers, etc. So if an emergency does happen there could, and it's been speculated by these sites, will be round up's.
Anyways without further ado, here is the article, I wrote a couple of months ago.
They really do exist. That was my first thought. It's not that I didn't believe it, it's that I didn't want to believe it. A part of me was holding out hope, but it looks like they do really exist.
The list was better known as the ADEX index a list of people to be rounded up in case of a national emergency. The new lists are being coined the FEMA lists and come under governmental plans such as REX 84.
This is a list of people that some governments have of their citizens that are to be rounded up in case of a national emergency. There is lot's of talk about this on the Internet. I have not talked about it too much, I don't think I had mentioned it yet, because I was still holding out hope.
Exercises similar to Rex 84 happen periodically. Plans for roundups of persons in the United States in times of crisis are constructed during periods of increased political repression such as the Palmer Raids and the McCarthy Era. For example, from 1967 to 1971 the FBI kept a list of persons to be rounded up as subversive, dubbed the "ADEX" list.
According to scholar Diana Reynolds:
The Rex-84 Alpha Explain (Readiness Exercise 1984, Exercise Plan; otherwise known as a continuity of government plan), indicates that FEMA in association with 34 other federal civil departments and agencies conducted a civil readiness exercise during April 5-13, 1984. It was conducted in coordination and simultaneously with a Joint Chiefs exercise, Night Train 84, a worldwide military command post exercise (including Continental U.S. Forces or CONUS) based on multi-emergency scenarios operating both abroad and at home. In the combined exercise, Rex-84 Bravo, FEMA and DOD led the other federal agencies and departments, including the Central Intelligence Agency, the Secret Service, the Treasury, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Veterans Administration through a gaming exercise to test military assistance in civil defense. The exercise anticipated civil disturbances, major demonstrations and strikes that would affect continuity of government and/or resource mobilization. To fight subversive activities, there was authorization for the military to implement government ordered movements of civilian populations at state and regional levels, the arrest of certain unidentified segments of the population, and the imposition of martial law. Existence of a master military contingency plan, "Garden Plot" and a similar earlier exercise, "Lantern Spike" were originally revealed by journalist Ron Ridenhour, who summarized his findings in "Garden Plot and the New Action Army."
Rex 84 was mentioned during the Iran-Contra Hearings in 1987, and subsequently reported on by the Miami Herald on July 5, 1987. A number of websites and alternative publications that span the political spectrum have hypothesized upon the basic material about Rex 84, and in many cases hyperbolized it into a form of urban legend or conspiracy theory. Rex 84 is sometimes cited as an extension of the fictional King Alfred Plan, a strategy to detain African Americans. Nonetheless, the basic facts about Rex 84 and other contingency planning readiness exercises--and the potential threat they pose to civil liberties if fully implemented in a real operation--are taken seriously by scholars and civil liberties activists.
In 2008, for the first time an active military unit has been given a dedicated assignment stateside for civil unrest containment. It is assigned to Northcom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.
Based on an article I read, these ADEX list existed as far back as the 70's a lot of activists and dissidents were placed on that list, as files were created on them. Now many people mistakenly think that the list was done away with after Cointelpro, but that does not seem to be the case.
For those who think that this type of list is no longer active they would be incorrect. Plans such as REX 84 and operation garden plot show a different story.
If a civil disturbance does break out and people are rounded up, there are detention facilities around the country which are available.
The current theory that some have is that there are what some term FEMA camps being prepared as part of these holding facilities.
"The infrastructure is set up. There are at least 130 concentration camps — quietly modified facilities which have sprung up and continue to spring up across the country, seemingly devoid of activity, yet requiring strange accoutrements such as barbed wire-topped fencing (with the tops turned inward) and helicopter wind socks. Most have good logistical supportability, with major highways and railroad transport facilities adjacent to the sites.
"These facilities, many in remote areas across our country, are set up to become concentration/detention camps, complete with gas chambers, for resisters and dissidents. Generally speaking, they’re set up for dissenters who will not go along with the New World Order. The ‘resisters’ are gun owners who refuse to give up their weapons; the ‘dissidents’ are Christians, Patriots and Constitutionalists. These camps are set up. I’ve seen many of them.
"On August 6, 1994, I toured the Amtrak Railcar Repair Facility at Beech Grove, Indianapolis, Indiana. There are at least ten maintenance barns at this facility, covering 129 acres, with two separate fences with the tops leaning inward. The windows of several buildings have been bricked up. Hence, you have three levels of security for Amtrak repair barns! There are three helicopter 25-knot aviation wind socks (which aren’t the correct ones to use for chemical spills which require 10-knot wind socks). There are high security NSA-style people turnstiles, and high intensity/security lighting for 24-hour operation. The box car (gas chamber) building fence is marked with special ‘RED/BLUE Zone’ signs [visible in the photo ]. This corresponds to the ‘mission’ of the RED/BLUE Lists which surfaced in June and July of 1996. Under martial law, this will become a death camp. They’re only going to handle category one and two (RED and BLUE) people there. This box car facility will be used for execution.
Well that sound preposterous right? Not really. There are facilities (camps) around the U.S., many attached to rail cars, people have been filming them for months. The weird part about the camps is that the barbed wired around the camps are turned inwards not outwards, they are designed to keep people in, not out.
There is also a 100 mile constitution free zone around America, where many of the camps are located. Neat coincidence.
Using data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, the ACLU has determined that nearly 2/3 of the entire US population (197.4 million people) live within 100 miles of the US land and coastal borders.
The government is assuming extraordinary powers to stop and search individuals within this zone. This is not just about the border: This " Constitution-Free Zone" includes most of the nation's largest metropolitan areas.
We urge you to call on Congress to hold hearings on and pass legislation to end these egregious violations of Americans' civil rights.
Who will be on the lists. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/02/04/ED5OUPQJ7.DTL
U.S. Rep. Jane Harman, D-Venice (Los Angeles County) has come up with a new way to expand the domestic "war on terror." Her Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 (HR1955), which passed the House by the lopsided vote of 404-6, would set up a commission to "examine and report upon the facts and causes" of so-called violent radicalism and extremist ideology, then make legislative recommendations on combating it.
According to commentary in the Baltimore Sun, Rep. Harman and her colleagues from both sides of the aisle believe the country faces a native brand of terrorism, and needs a commission with sweeping investigative power to combat it.
A clue as to where Harman's commission might be aiming is the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, a law that labels those who "engage in sit-ins, civil disobedience, trespass, or any other crime in the name of animal rights" as terrorists. Other groups in the cross-hairs could be anti-abortion protesters, anti-tax agitators, immigration activists, environmentalists, peace demonstrators, Second Amendment rights supporters ... the list goes on and on.
It's all really interesting information. For those who want to read more. They can research terms such as Rex 84, operation Garden plot, Continuity of government.
We all hope these plans never come to past, and that the horrors of the past never happen again, but we should remember that our countries after WWII, invited many of the Nazi Scientist over to countries such as Canada, U.K., and the U.S. the minds that were able to commit the horrors and atrocities of WWII, under project Paperclip were invited to democratic countries, and there is no way to know which parts of their research continued under other disguises.
What seems to be clear to me now is that there is a strong attempt being made to force depression type circumstances. Even though the public is optimistic, the media seems desperate to keep forcing the message that hard times are upon us. It seems they are trying to facilitate the mood of depression, lack of hope and hardship. For their part, the public thus far has help out and resisted falling into this trap.
I do think they history is repeating and that there is an attempt being made to bring about great depression type conditions. I think that there is an attempt being made to collapse the economies of some democratic countries. This will bring about the need for a new type of currency, many believe this to be the Amero. Which will also be a venue to introduce the North American Union.
Problem, Reaction, Solution. This means that they will cause enough, chaos, job loss, and adverse conditions, that people will go to them and beg that they create or start using the Amero. People will see it as the solution to their problems. Keep stimulating the economy with money you don't have, that always works well.
In the middle of this, you increasingly have more and more police type tactics being employed against average citizens. Eg. The U.K. is about to pass a law that will prohibit taking pictures of police officers. For journalists, citizens, this is not a good thing, especially if you are filming police brutality, they could use the law to arrest you, and take your film. They apparently are doing this now regardless, with a law in place it has the potential to become more wide scale.
Well at this stage this is my third revision of this article. Enjoy.
